Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.

Salina de la Renta wasn’t turned down by Shane “Swerve” Strickland, but he kept her away from the only thing she does love: the MLW World Heavyweight Championship. The Latin goddess had the title in her grasp on the May 25th episode of MLW: Fusion, as her client Pentagon Jr. was about to seize victory.

However, Strickland pulled a swerve, dodging the challenger’s poisonous red mist, which ended up in the face of de la Renta. The champion capitalized on the distraction to retain his gold.

Now the malevolent impresario has placed a $20,000 bounty on Strickland’s head. After calling out “all bounty hunters and sicarios to step up and collect,” the 6’5″ violence machine known as Brody King has stepped up. He’ll be coming to collect against Strickland this Thursday during MLW’s tapings at the Gilt Nightclub in Orlando.

After almost 20 years, one of the most violent matches in wrestling will come back to television as MLW presents a Boiler Room Brawl between MVP and Sami Callihan. The Boiler Room Brawl, which starts in the bowels of the building and can and often does go any and everywhere, will be streamed live on the Gilt Nightclub video wall so fans in attendance can see every second of the chaos as it unfolds.

This big match is part of the “5 main events in one night” theme for the June 7th card. “Any one of these matches could main event a show, but we wanted to give Orlando five of them in one shot,” MLW CEO Court Bauer said in a press release.

After feuding last year in CZW, the animosity between Joey Janela and Maxwell J. Friedman has spilled over into MLW. It all started when The Bad Boy and Aria Blake crashed the elitist’s dressing room, leaving quite the sticky mess. Then, during Janela’s bout with Sami Callihan, MJF decided to watch the action from the VIP section. After jaw jacking at ringside, Janela ended up flying into Friedman’s lap, spilling Luc Belaire Rose all over Friedman and his date.

Incensed, MJF attacked Janela, smashing his skill into the ring post, causing the Bad Boy to have his head stapled shut. He’ll be seeking revenge this Thursday.

MLW will crown new World Tag Team Champions in a triple threat elimination match: luchadore brothers Pentagon Jr. & Rey Fenix (presented by Salina de la Renta) vs. Jason Cade & Jimmy Yuta vs. the Dirty Blondes managed by Colonel Robert Parker. Although Pentagon and Fenix are the most high-profile duo in the match, it will be interesting to see if the hermanos can put their differences aside after battling twice over the past couple months.

Team Filthy, consisting of UFC Fighter “Filthy” Tom Lawlor, Seth Petruzelli and Simon Gotch, will present the second Simon Gotch Prize Fight: “Any and all gentlemen with superb athletic ability are welcomed to step up and try to test their prowess. If they can last just 5 minutes in an exhibition against the “Great Gotch” without being pinned or conceding, they will win a LARGE sum cash reward.” In May, Gotch squared off against karate practitioner Danny Santiago, who lasted a mere 37 seconds with the Great Gotch.

Speaking of Lawlor, he’ll have his work cut out for him as he faces Jake Hager, formerly known as Jack Swagger, fresh off his submission victory over Jeff Cobb. It’s inter-promotional warfare as UFC’s dirtiest player battles Bellator’s newest signee.

Also in action, Sammy Guevara returns to MLW to take on the “Man of 1,000 Counters” Fred Yehi. “Mr. Money’s Worth” will be representing Promociones Dorado, as impresario Salina de la Renta brokered the deal for his return.

Finally, don’t blink as Rich Swann takes to the air with ACH in a high-flying dream match.

MLW “5 Main Events in One Night” takes place at the Gilt Nightclub in Orlando on Thursday, June 7.
